Congratulations once again! We’ll be rooting for you in September! You can see some of our most exciting VFX breakdowns from the series in the attached video.
We are glad to have Eran Dinur back at Brainstorm (and not just because he brought delicious cookies from Galicia, Spain), but we are even more thrilled about all the new friends we made through our gracious host, Mundos Digitales 2013! Thanks for having us! Same time next year?
Brainstorm Goes International
We are excited to have our esteemed VFX Supervisor, Eran Dinur, representing us at Mundos Digitales 2013 in A Coruña this weekend. His conference focuses on the strategies used to pursue cinema-quality VFX for the relatively smaller budget television environment. Brainstorm is pioneering a new standard for television that was once the province of blockbuster films. Eran will go over how to achieve such a refined look using examples from our award-winning work on Boardwalk Empire and The Men Who Built America.

NOMINATED FOR ANOTHER VES AWARD!
The team at Brainstorm Digital have a reason to celebrate early this new year. They have just received news that they have been nominated for another VES Award! Once again they are in the running for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Broadcast Program, which they took home two years ago for their work on “Boardwalk Empire”. However, this year they are nominated for their meticulous craft on History Channel’s breakthrough mini-series “The Men Who Built America”. Nominees include Glenn Allen, Eran Dinur, David Reynolds and Matthew Conner. Winners will be announced at the 11th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards being held in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, February 5th!
This is the 3rd straight year that Brainstorm Digital has been nominated for a VES Award.
Brainstorm Digital’s Producer, Richard Friedlander, and VFX Supervisor, Eran Dinur, were recently on hand at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden in order to help shoot VFX scenes for Ken Scott’s upcoming film “The Delivery Man” with Vince Vaughn.
