The team at Brainstorm Digital have a reason to celebrate early this new year. They have just received news that they have been nominated for another VES Award! Once again they are in the running for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Broadcast Program, which they took home two years ago for their work on “Boardwalk Empire”. However, this year they are nominated for their meticulous craft on History Channel’s breakthrough mini-series “The Men Who Built America”. Nominees include Glenn Allen, Eran Dinur, David Reynolds and Matthew Conner. Winners will be announced at the 11th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards being held in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, February 5th!

This is the 3rd straight year that Brainstorm Digital has been nominated for a VES Award.

Brainstorm Digital’s Producer, Richard Friedlander, and VFX Supervisor, Eran Dinur, were recently on hand at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden in order to help shoot VFX scenes for Ken Scott’s upcoming film “The Delivery Man” with Vince Vaughn.

One year in the making… Stephen David Entertainment and Brainstorm Digital combined forces to bring you “The Men Who Built America”, which will premiere this evening at 9pm on The History Channel. If you happen to miss the premiere, it will re-air on Saturday, Oct 20th, at 9pm. The series will continue every Tuesday through November 6th.

Make room for more hardware in the trophy case! Brainstorm Digital won their second Emmy award over the weekend at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards held in Nokia Theater in Hollywood. This gives them back-to-back Emmy wins (2011 & 2012) for their visual effects work on HBO’s critically acclaimed “Boardwalk Empire” series. Among the team to accept the award were producer/co-owner Richard Friedlander, VFX supervisor Eran Dinor, compositing supervisor David Reynolds, compositor Austin Meyers and senior matte painter Matthew Conner.

Glenn Allen, co-owner of Brainstorm Digital, said of the recent win: “We’re so proud of our artists. Our commitment to excellence is second to none, and it’s great that our team gets recognized for their amazing work.” This just adds to the numerous VES Awards that the company has also gathered in the past few years. A HUGE congratulations goes out to the entire team!
